Office Interior Design: Before and After

When businesses are new, they don't have a huge budget to spend on interior design, and that's OK. As Miami's best interior decorating, design and architecture firm, we cater to all budgets and projects!

Just adding paint will transform a wall!
— Studio IDAS

Check out this easy and affordable office transformation! Surrounded by white walls and beige tile flooring, we needed to make an update to this space that was effective and cost effective. Being an office atmosphere, the concept needed to be fun but also interactive. The space needed to create creativity and productivity. For these, we thought brought colors! Staying in line with the company's palette, gray and yellow were the main color choices.

See below the before and afters and let us know what you think!

Furnish a small space with bright and colorful pieces!  This helps to make the space feel larger while also bringing life.

We added this gorgeous blue paint color above the room create a roof, which gives the space a cozy, "home" feel.

Getting creative with paint is sometimes all you need to transform a space! This funky, geometric pattern was first designed in a drawing, then taped out and painted over. The result is an instant effect of life and interest!

Home Tour: A Fresh & Contemporary Brickell Apartment

Completed in early 2015, this Contemporary Miami apartment underwent a major transformation. Located in the heart of Brickell, Miami, the Studio IDAS team created a calm and serene home for a young couple, emphasizing a cool and white color palette with incorporated pops of color through fabrics and accessories.

This Contemporary Miami project included a complete re-design of the Living Room, Master Bedroom, Master Bathroom, Guest Bedroom, Kitchen, Dining Room and Powder Room.

The home staging of this Contemporary Miami home was completed in no time and under budget!

Believe it or not, most of this home is outfitted from IKEA!
— Marcy Garcia

Working within a tight budget, we must have made a thousand trips to IKEA! Always a great resource for home design projects that need to look great but cost less! Our clients also loves color so we were able to incorporate pops of life through fabrics, textiles and strategically placed accessories.

The kitchen is fully customized -  we added full upper cabinets to optimize storage space for our client. This was a very important request as the kitchen is a smaller space and they wanted to be sure to use every inch. White cabinets accented with chrome hardware instantly open up the space and the stainless steel appliances give it an updated and modern look. We chose a small, mint colored subway tile to break up the all-white cabinetry. Glass tiles are a less expensive and easy-to-clean option when looking to add a modern back splash.

The Guest Bedroom was designed to act as both an additional bedroom and a Home Office space. A careful design of Ikea Expedit Bookshelves, cubbies and desk counters created a home office that you would think was custom designed. Optimized for home office supplies and storage with plenty of space for our client’s guests.

In the Master Bedroom, we played on the concept of paint and color blocked with a soothing gray color. This fun and creative technique is an easy and instant way to update and refresh any room. Complimented with IKEA side tables in different colors, bright bedding and strategically placed wall art, this room comes together easily and beautifully.

Staying with the concept we created for this home’s interior design, the living room emphasizes a cool color palette accented by rich textures and color. We incorporated pops of green and orange, being the client’s favorite colors, through accessories such as throw pillows, side chairs and a fun, patterned area rug from Ikea. The light grey sofa acts as an anchor to pull all colors together in a cohesive way.

We dropped the ceiling to be able to add recessed lighting and to incorporate an LED source at the ceiling drop to create a visual interest. The dropped ceiling also allowed us to hide the curtain track. We laid the beautiful wood flooring throughout the entire home and used a complimentary taupe color on the accent wall.

The Dining Room features a beautiful glass table and Lucite chairs from Ikea. A drop chandelier adds the perfect modern touch and two leaning floor mirrors create the illusion of a larger space and also incorporate a pop of orange.
